Visiting undergraduate students are permitted to enroll in courses that are level 4999 and below.

If you are a current Penn student, go directly to Path@Penn to register for online courses. All Penn Summer Sessions courses earn Penn academic credit.

It's easy for anyone to enroll, including:

  • Visiting undergraduate students from other institutions: Visiting students from other institutions must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at their home institution. The recommended minimum GPA is 3.0.
  • Working professionals and Penn employees: Please note, applicants who have not completed college-level course work are required to submit a copy of their high school transcript with their graduation date or a copy of their high school diploma.
  • Penn alumni: Please review the Penn Alumni Program for important application dates. Upcoming May Penn graduates should also apply to the Penn Alumni Program.
  • International students who are already enrolled at an accredited US college or university and will return for the fall semester. Penn Summer Sessions does not provide visa sponsorship.
  • Recent high school graduates: Recent high school graduates who are United States citizens are eligible for Summer Session II enrollment. Applicants are required to submit a copy of their high school transcript with graduation date or a copy of their high school diploma.

    • Applicants should contact the advising office of their home institution for approval to enroll at Penn during the summer months prior to their first-year college enrollment.
